The Famous Women of Fox
This year marks the 100th anniversary of 20th Century Fox Studios! To celebrate this event and honor the many famous actresses that Fox put front and center in some of their most iconic films, the United Palace Theater, located just half a mile from our Washington Heights hotel, will be holding a "Women of Fox Film Festival," showcasing some of Fox’s most memorable leading ladies. The festival starts September 20th with Shirley Temple in "Bright Eyes" (1934) and Theda Bara in "A Fool There Was." On October 11th, they’ll be showing Betty Grable & Carmen Miranda in "Down Argentine Way," and wrapping things up on December 6th with Marilyn Monroe in "The Seven Year Itch." Don’t miss out on this chance to appreciate the classic actresses of Fox films.
