Chris Pieretti is a designer and artist living in Brooklyn. A graduate of the University of Vermont studio art program, Pieretti is known for designing hotel and restaurant graphics, lighting fixtures and classic furniture pieces. He works from his multi-disciplinary studio in Williamsburg under the label Union & Company. As a fine artist, Pieretti conceived, wrote and photographed the book re:vision, which focused on 15 New York artists and creatives and featured artist Swoon, designer Jeffstaple, and actors Matthew Gray Gubler and Alexis Dziena. The art pieces for the Edge, Washington Heights were inspired by upper Manhattan's many historic stained glass windows. Coupled with the wonderful views of the city from the hotel¹s guest rooms, the deconstructed stained glass motif is used throughout the hotel in the rooms, hallways and meeting spaces. Each piece was individually screen printed by hand in Brooklyn and signed and numbered by the artist. Visit chrispieretti.com for more information on Chris Pieretti's work.
